Okay, did someone deface the grave of one of the Wright Brothers? That region has been having the WORST luck with planes lately.

I think they might have defaced the grave of William Boeing.

Really the entire year's been pretty rough for aviation accidents. This year ended a three year streak of decreasing fatalities and has is the highest number of fatalities since 2010. And that's before adding in the AirAsia flight (if it has, in fact, gone down).

This is roughly where it should be.

I assume that's where they lost contact. But what if it's another MH370-type thing where the transponders were shut off and it could be just about anywhere?

Not good at all. How much longer until we have transponders that can't be turned off? I understand the difficulties, but unless this plane is found, that makes two under very similar circumstances. And all the tin-foil-hat theories start looking just a little more believable.
